The Icelandic SnowKiting Challenge Team was horrified to hear of the kiter who so sadly died at Dunstable Downs earlier this week. Freak accidents of this type remind us all of the power of the elements. It is easy to forget that this exhilarating sport which allows us to harness the power of the wind also has the power to kill.
Our team of disabled kiters are all acutely aware of the potential for accidents having sustained their spinal injuries. Each is grateful for the opportunity to have had a second chance, something this young man did not get. We send his family and friends our condolences at this difficult time.
